Are All Muslims Extremists?

Q: My uncle insists that all Muslims are extremists and likely to be terrorists, that it goes with their religion and they cannot help it.  Can you shed any light on this? M.D.

A: I expect that Muslims are like any other people, with or without religious beliefs -- you can find the best among them, and the worst.  I have not read the Koran as I have the Bible, but I suppose that one can find scriptures that will back any particular belief in the Koran, as in the Bible.

I have three lovely Muslim nephews, raised and living in Saudi Arabia.  They are the most tolerant, considerate, genteel people I could ever hope to meet.
