Depression's natural antidote
Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11:30PM from 88 Keys to Well-Being, Key #2:
"'De-press-ion' means 'press-ures' we have 'pressed down' inside ourselves. 'Ex-press-ion' means we 'press them out.' Our natural creativity helps us find healthy and appropriate means of ex-press-ing the pressures, such as talking them out, writing them onto a page, taking action, learning an art, choosing a vocation.

After having my baby 3 weeks ago I have found that i am suffering from very bad depression. I have done a lot of reading on natural products and found that "kiwi drug" has the most information and that 5-htp is all natural and is like a happy pill! I am so thankful for it it really has taken me out of the depression rutt
Thanks for your tip, Sara.
Having given birth to two sons who are now adults, I have also faced the common post-delivery depression. I believe it was an expression of the letdown following the stupendous intimacy that is experienced when two bodies are literally one, as happens during pregnancy. Returning, after the birth, to the separated condition we are in, except during pregnancy, the depression results. Identifying it as caused by the return to a separated state can help in the adjustment. The natural cures can help, and I am glad you've found one that works for you.
