Healthy Manipulation

Q:  A couple of really good things have come my way.  I'm a 32-year-old husband and father of two.  The things are good for my family and my wife is pleased about both.  The problem is that I don't know how to choose between them.  Without more detail, can you suggest?  I am used to manipulating my family to get what I want and am fearful of doing it again.  G.C.

A:  Based on the information you've provided, you are coming from a place of fear.  It may be that in this case you are being challenged to manipulate yourself for your family's good instead of manipulating them for your own purposes.  This may be a great challenge for you, because it reverses your habitual pattern of thinking and behavior.

Are both good things possible, without ruling out one of them?  Accept with gratitude and grace the gifts that are coming your way.  Allow yourself to let the gifts flow through you, enjoy them, and enjoy your family's enjoyment.
